As a documentary photographer, my goal has always been to capture the world in its truest, and most authentic form. My country’s huge diversity across her terrain has been the driving factor of my photographic journey. For me, the story holds as much importance as the place and its people. With this in mind, 2025 promises to be an extraordinary year, packed with adventures, opportunities, and photography.
Here’s a glimpse of what lies ahead:
February: I will begin the year by heading to East and West Sikkim for a 12-day trip. My main focus will be to uphold the harmony of spirituality and the rawness of nature, along with the culture, Buddhist traditions and people.
May: In the middle of this month, I will embark on a journey with my elder cousin-brother to Ladakh. Places in focus will be Leh, Nubra Valley, Khardung La Pass, Chang La pass and Pangong Lake.
September: I always wanted to visit Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world. Maybe the next month would have been a better choice, but I want to avoid the rush of tourists as much as possible. This trip will be hugely focused on documenting the culture, people, and history of this ancient place.
November: As the year winds down, I will return to Sikkim, this time venturing into the breathtaking landscapes of North Sikkim. My aim will be to ascend as high as possible and try to represent the hauntingly mesmerizing landscape of this location.
January 2026: I hope to start the next year with a trip to Rann of Kutch in Gujrat. The Rann Festival has always been on my bucket list. The project may have elements of landscape, people, culture, and seascape.
Stills and copy, sound and texts, new places and stories — join me on a visual journey of exploration in 2025, sharing, learning, and making memories on the way—one frame at a time.
